Switching Your Medicare Plan in Waco, TX

Staying on the same Medicare plan year after year is a decision, not a default. Plans change their networks, drug tiers and copays every January — and the plan that fit you three years ago may quietly be costing you now.

Switching is usually straightforward, but only during a window Medicare allows. Here's how to tell whether you can change today, and what to compare before you do.

  • Find out if a window is open for you now
  • Keep your doctors and prescriptions intact
  • No cost to review, no pressure to change
  • Local help, not an out-of-state call center

Moving within Texas can open a window

A change of address — even from Waco to Woodway if it leaves your plan's service area — can create a Special Enrollment Period. Tell us the move date and we'll check.

Reasons

Good reasons to look at a change

  • Your doctor or hospital left the plan's network
  • A prescription moved to a higher tier or dropped off the formulary
  • Your Medigap premium jumped again this year
  • Copays are higher than you expected for regular visits
  • You now qualify for Extra Help or a Medicare Savings Program
  • You've moved, retired, or lost employer coverage

A change isn't always the answer. Sometimes the plan you have is still the best available in McLennan County, and the honest advice is to leave it alone. We'll tell you that plainly — we'd rather keep you as a client for a decade than move you for one season.

Process

How a switch actually works

  1. 1

    Review what you have

Bring your current plan card, your prescription list and the doctors you want to keep.

  2. 2

    Compare the real numbers

Premium, deductible, copays, network status and drug tiers — totaled across the whole year, not the month.

  3. 3

    Confirm the window

We verify you're eligible to make the change and the effective date before any application is signed.

  4. 4

    Enroll and confirm

We submit it, watch for the confirmation, and make sure your old coverage ends cleanly with no gap.
